The draw came after extra time in a dramatic 3-3 finish in the match at Wembley Stadium. Geoff Thomas and Mark Bright gave Palace, who were managed by Steve Coppell, a 2-1 lead away, only for United to equalize the game and then go on to take the lead.
Palace equalized once more through a first‐time header from Ian Wright to force a replay. Sadly for Palace fans, they lost the replay 1-0 but the match is remembered as a do-or-die confrontation of spirit and resolve, against one of England's most established and biggest clubs.
2. The Great Escape (2016)
Crystal Palace can count the 2015-2016 season as a rollercoaster. They finished a relegation battle at the end of the season after a big start. However, under manager Alan Pardew, they managed to pull off what is often referred to as "The Great Escape."
Palace sealed their Premier League survival with a 2–1 win over Southampton in their final game at Selhurst Park. Fans were in an effervescent mood celebrating their team's dogged determination to be playing in the top flight.
3. Upsetting Liverpool at Anfield (2015)
Second, in May 2015, he scored another standout goal, this time against Liverpool at Anfield in a clash on the final day of the season. Liverpool were playing the match as a salute to Steven Gerrard in his farewell to Anfield, for whom he has played for 26 years.
But Palace, overwhelming underdogs, stunned the home crowd by kicking off after Adam Lallana's early goal. Palace goals from Jason Puncheon, Wilfried Zaha, and Glenn Murray secured a remarkable 3-1 win. This match is remembered both for its result and the way in which it ruined Liverpool's plans and appropriately ended the career of Gerrard.
4. The Ambrose Wonder Goal (2011)
Another unforgettable moment for Palace fans was Darren Ambrose’s stunning long-range strike against Manchester United in the League Cup quarter-finals three years ago. The goal, which came from around 35 yards out, flew past United goalkeeper Ben Amos and into the top corner.
Ambrose’s talents were put on a spectacular show as he helped Palace to a 2-1 win over Villa that sent them into the semis. She's often replayed in highlight reels as one of the greatest in Crystal Palace history.
5. Promotion Play-Off Glory (2013)
Crystal Palace achieved promotion back to the Premier League in the play-offs at the end of the 2012-13 season. Kevin Phillips' late spot kick had given Palace a dramatic 1 0 win in a tense final against Watford at Wembley Stadium.

6. Historic Victory at Arsenal (2019)
It will be remembered as Crystal Palace’s first-ever Premier League victory at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium, they secured it in April 2019. Palace went on to beat the Red Devils 3 2, courtesy of two goals from Christian Benteke, Wilfried Zaha and James McArthur.
